Faculty Champions
SPC's Faculty Champions have received specialized professional development and are a resource for their fellow faculty and staff. Faculty Champions are also the facilitators for the Academic Roundtables (ARTs) formed to take a Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) approach to critical thinking in a specific discipline. Faculty Champions come from different disciplines and campuses to assure varied representation of the College.

QEP Team
SPC has a four-member team that focuses on the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP): The QEP Director, the Faculty Chair, the Assessment Coordinator, and the Web and Instructional Technology Services (WITS) Liaison. The QEP Director maintains a full-time administrative position, and is responsible for managing the implementation of the QEP. The Faculty Chair is a faculty member who has assumed additional responsibilities in a supplemental capacity. The Faculty Chair advocates for the Faculty Champions and the members of the Academic Round Tables (ARTs) and the Quality Enhancement Committee (QEC) to assure implementation is faculty-driven, as outlined by the QEP. The Assessment Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of College-wide assessments as well as assisting faculty with the creation and implementation of internal assessments among the disciplines. The WITS Liaison assists with the communication between the QEP Team and the Web and Instructional Technology Services (WITS) Department, including maintaining the WITS-QEC Liaison Weblog. The WITS Department provides support and assistance with developing online training courses; creating and managing, with faculty input, a collection of critical thinking-related Reusable Learning Objects (RLOs); rolling out ANGEL ePortfolios, if feasible; and managing a Web repository of critical thinking tools and resources.

Critical Thinking Subcommittee of the Educational Oversight Group (CT Sub)
The Critical Thinking Subcommittee (CT Sub) of the Educational Oversight Group reviews institutional data from critical thinking assessments and identifies goals and objectives to improve student learning. This subcommittee consists of members of the Quality Enhancement Committee, Institutional Effectiveness staff, and Deans and Program Directors whose faculty are involved in Academic Roundtables. The CT Subcommittee reports back to the Educational Oversight Group so that objectives and action plans are put into unit plans for specific programs implementing QEP.
