LRMA Art Exhibition: "Comin' Back to Me: The Music and Spirit of '69" A Tribute to Marty Balin

Experience 1969 fifty years later through the eyes of Marty Balin, founder and guitarist for 1960s rock band Jefferson Airplane. Balin’s paintings of rock legends, personal archives and psychedelic concert posters will be on view. The exhibition also explores 1969 as a pinnacle year for music festivals, such as Woodstock and Altamont, the Beatles, civil rights and world events, and will feature a chill lounge with black light posters from the collection.

Museum hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Friday, and 1 – 5 p.m. on Sunday. As of April 1, 2019: Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and free to children, students and active military with ID. On Sundays, docent tours are offered at 2 p.m. (included with admission fee). The museum is closed on Mondays and major holidays. Isabelle’s Museum Store is open during regular business hours.
