SPC has partnered with Parchment to handle all diploma needs. We are excited to introduce digital diplomas and certificates starting for Fall 2024 graduates. You’ll receive an email and text message with instructions on setting up your Parchment account to access your diploma. Once this step is completed you can share your digital diploma on Facebook, X, or LinkedIn or download a secure PDF. Use the SPC graduation hashtag, #SPCGrad, when posting on social media.
Graduating from SPC
The SPC Records Office takes great pride in formally awarding your degree once all graduation requirements have been met and your final grades are officially certified at the close of the term. This important process ensures that your hard work, dedication, and accomplishments are fully recognized.
Approximately 10 business days after the semester concludes, your official records will be updated to show any degrees or certificates you have earned. We encourage you to log in to MySPC and review your unofficial transcript to confirm that your degree has been officially conferred. Once you have verified this, you may request your official transcript through the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC). For instructions and additional details, please visit the SPC website. Your official transcript will reflect that you have completed all requirements for your degree when you graduate.

Reverse Transfer
This is a unique process of awarding an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree retroactively to SPC students who transferred to a four-year institution before completing the A.A. Reverse transfer allows you to combine the credits you have earned at your current school with those you previously earned at SPC and retroactively be awarded an Associate of Arts degree.
Eligibility
If you are a prior SPC student who earned 30 or more credits hours towards an A.A. degree while enrolled at the college, you may qualify for Reverse Transfer. To have the A.A. awarded, you must meet the following criteria:
- Left SPC in good academic standing
- Currently enrolled at a four-year institution
- Have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours at all colleges attended
- Have not yet earned a bachelor’s degree
- Satisfied the Florida Civic Literacy requirement
- Completed two years of foreign language in high school or a minimum of 6 credits of in college. Courses taken must be sequential and in the same language.
Benefits
Having your A.A. degree awarded through Reverse Transfer gives you a recognized and meaningful credential which immediately increases your ability to get a job and for earning a raise. Completing an associate degree can yield significantly more pay than entering college and not earning a degree. Additionally, research has shown you are more likely to persist and complete your bachelor’s degree if you have already earned a degree.
