Approximately, 200 local high school and college students, along with parents and mentors, attended the fifth annual Keys to Manhood Summit at SPC’s Allstate Center in February 2017.

Sponsored by Transamerica, the seminar included an impressive range of workshops focused on helping students succeed including, becoming financially fit, going from dropout to knockout, overcoming legal obstacles, and exploring career opportunities.

The highly interactive day included a luncheon sponsored by GTE Financial and a keynote address by NFL player, philanthropist and St. Petersburg native Louis Murphy, Jr. During his speech, Murphy touched on many of the challenges in his own life and encouraged attendees to persevere. “No matter where you are in life, don’t let anyone or anything deter you from your dreams,” he said.
