Blair Elliot

After graduating from St. Petersburg College, Blair Elliot moved to Philadelphia, where she earned a Bachelor in Fine Arts from the University of the Arts and trained at the Koresh Dance Company.

Today, she is a dancer with the highly regarded Spectrum Dance Theater in Seattle.

"St. Petersburg College allowed me to make valuable connections with professional artists," Blair said. "My teachers were so supportive and encouraging; they made me feel like I mattered."

"I got to work with some amazing artists and the performance opportunities were incredible. I remembered why I loved to dance in the first place. I think that it is the performer's job - to transport the audience to a different world, away from their everyday lives. That is why I dance, and at SPC, that is what I got to do."
