Meet Daniel Lawless
Daniel Lawless, Professor of English at St. Petersburg College, is the creator and Editor-in-Chief of Plume: A Journal of Contemporary Poetry.
Now in its fifth year, Plume has garnered national and international praise for its elegant design and roster of award-winning contributors. A veritable Who's Who of modern poets, Plume writers include winners of the Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Award as well as several Poets Laureate.
Each month, Plume presents 12 poems online, together with a longer featured selection. Its annual print anthology features new work from a wide range of poets and has been adopted as a text in creative writing and master's programs in a number of major U.S. universities. Lawless' poetry has appeared in a number of journals and magazines, and he lectures at creative writing programs in the U.S. and abroad.
Lawless began his teaching career at the University of Louisville and later taught at Indiana University.
