Paralegal Studies Programs

Our associate degree prepares you to assist attorneys and transfers to our bachelor's of science in Paralegal Studies. Beyond that, our Paralegal Studies Certificate program meets the educational requirement for the Certified Legal Assisting Examination administered nationwide by the National Association of Legal Assistants.

As a Paralegal Studies student, you're offered many internship opportunities, where you can gain valuable experience in the offices of county clerks, judges, private attorneys and corporations. These opportunities are not just for learning; they also help you establish relationships that can be beneficial in your job search.

All of SPC's paralegal programs are approved by the American Bar Association.

Paralegals are not licensed attorneys. A legal assistant or paralegal is a person, qualified by education, training or work experience who is employed or retained by a lawyer, law office, corporation, governmental agency or other entity and who performs specifically delegated substantive legal work for which a lawyer is responsible.
