This A.A. transfer plan is intended for students who want to pursue a bachelor's degree in Public Safety Administration at St. Petersburg College or state universities and colleges in Florida that offer it. Students who complete these requirements graduate from SPC with an Associate in Arts Degree and meet the state-mandated pre-requisites of their four-year major.
As part of the A.A. degree, students can earn certificates in specific areas of study.
A degree in Public Safety Administration can prepare you for a career in corrections, law enforcement, emergency administration and management, homeland security, fire science technology, crime scene technology, computer related crime investigation, and public safety services.

Program Summary
This Program of Study is intended to assist in the transfer advising process. Students following a transfer plan (PSA-TR) will graduate with an Associate of Arts degree from SPC. The following requirements include any State Mandated Prerequisite courses and are intended to prepare students for transfer into SPC's Public Safety Administration baccalaureate program or an equivalent in the State of Florida (CIP 43.9999). Students must select one of the following subplans. Subplans with ** prepare students to earn a certificate in addition to their Associate of Arts degree. Students in an AA transfer plan are not automatically awarded certificates, and the student or their advisor must request certificates be awarded once required coursework is completed.
