SPC Designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense
St. Petersburg College is designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Two-Year Education (CAE-2Y) through 2029. This achievement, from the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), validates the program's rigor and viability to promote higher education and develop a high-quality workforce with expertise in cyber defense. The CAE-2Y program seeks to reduce vulnerability in our national information infrastructure by promoting higher education and expertise in cyber defense.
The CCIT Center for Cybersecurity receives guidance and oversight by the CCIT Advisory Board. The President of the CCIT Advisory board is Chris Paul, Manager of Information Systems for Melitta North America, Inc.
