Congratulations to St. Petersburg Collegiate High School campuses and its students for top performances and academic excellence. Earlier this year, the Florida Department of Education announced that all three Collegiate High Schools campuses earned the prestigious “A” grade for the 2022-2023 academic year. These campuses include St. Petersburg/Gibbs (SPCHS SPG), SPCHS North Pinellas (SPCHS TS) in Tarpon Springs, and SPCHS STEM in Downtown Campus.
In addition, SPCHS TS scored #10 in the state for percentage points earned toward the school grades, and SPCHS SPG was in the top 20.
The 2024 class of SPCHS TS also made history this year when 100 percent of students earned an Associate of Arts degree at the end of the Spring Term.
“The Class of 2024 will go down in history for this remarkable accomplishment,” said Principal Ryan Halstead. “This really demonstrates the dedication and commitment of our students and their partnership with our talented staff.”
Collegiate High Schools also earned other accolades from U.S. News & World Report when it named SPCHS TS and SPCHS SPG to its prestigious list of “2023 Best High Schools.” The schools were ranked the third and fourth best high schools in Pinellas County. St. Petersburg Collegiate High School also received a bronze medal.
St. Petersburg Collegiate High Schools offer students the opportunity to simultaneously earn a high school diploma and an associate degree with no cost for books, fees or tuition. SPCHS opened its first charter in 2004 at SPC’s St. Petersburg/Gibbs Campus, then added a North County option in Tarpon Springs in 2019 and a STEM campus at the college’s Downtown Center in Fall 2022.
School grades provide an easily understandable way to measure the performance of a school. Parents and the public can use the school grade and its components to understand how well each school is serving its students.
