Meeting Our Students Technology Needs

St. Petersburg College is committed to your success and is pleased to expand our Laptop Lending program across Pinellas County. Students who are currently enrolled may borrow a laptop with a webcam needed for SPC coursework. Students must be able to pick up the equipment at one of our campuses. We are not able to ship equipment outside of the area.

To get started, review the requirements below and then complete the Technology Lending program request form by visiting technologytracker.spcollege.edu. Once your request has been approved, you will be contacted in 2-3 business days to coordinate a time and place to pick up the requested technology.

  • Students may only borrow one laptop with a webcam.
    • Dual enrollment/collegiate high school students are not eligible for this program. Please check in with your designated high school for laptop assistance.
  • Laptop is for student use only.
  • Do not save files or data to the hard drive as it will be deleted upon return. Use your OneDrive account or flash drive to save your work.
  • Students are required to adhere to SPC’s Information Technology Acceptable Use Policies outlined in the Student Code of Conduct.
  • ALL Laptops are due for yearly updates at the end of each Spring term. The updates are
completed by the technical support team and can take up to 7 business days to process the
necessary updates. If you are enrolled in Summer courses, the update must be completed
    prior to classes starting.
  • You must maintain continuous enrollment. If you withdraw from classes, all equipment must be returned immediately. If equipment is not returned, your academic records will be placed on hold which will prevent future enrollment and receipt of official transcripts.
  • If equipment is lost, stolen, damaged, etc., it is your responsibility to REPLACE the equipment. If equipment is not replaced, your academic records will be placed on hold, which will prevent future enrollment and receipt of official transcripts.
  • The Technology Lending program term will not be considered completed until ALL borrowed equipment is returned in working condition and the Technology Lending Program Agreement equipment return receipt line is signed by an authorized SPC staff member.
