Getting the Presidential Scholarship meant allowing my dreams to set sail!
Alexis Deveaux graduated summa cum laude with her B.A.S. in Legal Studies from SPC in 2017 and now works as an attorney in Tampa. While at SPC, she was awarded a Presidential Scholarship that she says gave her the opportunity to immerse herself in her education and fully engage in activities on campus.
During her time at SPC, Alexis served as president of student government, head delegate of the Model U.N. team, and MC of the Foundation’s Distinguished Speaker Event. She studied abroad in Vietnam learning about international business and trade and in Prague, Czech Republic where she studied international business and trade and diplomatic relations of the United Nations.
She also served on SPC's Presidential Search Committee, the Collegiate Honors College Research Board of Directors, and the Presidential Scholars Leadership & Advisory Committee.
As a Pinellas County high school student, Alexis enrolled in SPC’s Early College Program and after two years graduated from high school and earned an Associate in Arts degree simultaneously. Although Alexis was courted by the top universities in the country, she chose to continue her education at SPC.
Alexis simultaneously graduated with honors from Stetson University College of Law and College of Business with her Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees in 2020.
