Tampa Bay Rays Support First Generation Scholars

The St. Petersburg College Foundation hosted its 5th Annual SPC Night with the Rays on April 20th with over 550 students, faculty, alumni and supporters who came out to cheer on the Rays as they took on the Red Sox. Merrill Lynch generously donated 100 free tickets so that students could attend the game and cheer from our SPC section.
SPC Night with the Rays is a celebration of the strong partnership between the St. Petersburg College Foundation and the Rays Baseball Foundation that supports first generation scholarships. More than 50% of SPC students are the first in their family to attend college.
In the 2nd inning, the Rays played a video made earlier in the week at SPC's Midtown Campus as the Rays Baseball Foundation presented a $5,000 check to students.
