The College Reach-Out Program (CROP) motivates and prepares Pinellas County middle and high school students to succeed in college. CROP students face academic and economic challenges and would be unlikely to apply to college without special support.

Summer Programs for College Success

There are several summer programs aimed at getting students ready for college including:

Academic Enrichment Centers

Academic Enrichment Centers (AEC) are collaborative, community-based centers in Pinellas County dedicated to promoting student success for students grades 1-12 through academic, cultural and social programs.

Brain Bowl Competitions

Each fall, elementary, middle and high school students from Pinellas County schools, churches, community centers, clubs and other organizations form Brain Bowl teams to compete at the local, regional and state level.

The SPC Center of Excellence works with Pinellas County elementary, middle and high school students to help them succeed in school and have healthy self-esteem.

National Achievers Society

Serving more than 25,000 Florida middle and high school students, the National Achievers Society (NAS) recognizes the academic excellence and cultural accomplishments of middle and high school students in Pinellas County.
