The Congressman C.W. Bill Young Veteran Tuition Waiver Program
HB 7015 which was passed by the 2014 Florida Legislature and signed into law by the Governor effective July 1, 2014, enables SPC to waive the out-of-state portion of the tuition and fees for eligible veteran students, provided they meet the following criteria:
- Received an honorable discharge from the United Armed Forces, or National Guard (DD214 form must show Character or Type of Discharge).
- Physically reside in Florida while enrolled at SPC during the term waiver is applied (Copy of Florida DL, ID, rental agreement showing name of Veteran or any tier 1 residency document).
- Currently do not meet the state standard to qualify as a Florida resident for tuition purposes
- Are currently enrolled in courses for the term the waiver is requested.

You may submit the form and supporting documentation* to an Admissions/Registration office at your home campus or scan/email to: residencydocuments@spcollege.eduby the deadline dates for the term for which the out-of-state waiver is sought.
The form must be submitted each term in which the veteran is seeking the out-of-state fee waiver.
Please note: Receipt of this out-of-state tuition waiver does not constitute classification as a Florida resident for tuition purposes. Students who receive this waiver remain classified as non-Florida residents for tuition purposes and are noteligible for state financial aid, including Bright Futures. Students may apply for other scholarships, depending on the requirements of the individual program.
