Ashley Gauntt

Originally from Clearwater, Ashley Gauntt began her studies in ceramics at St. Petersburg College and earned her Bachelor's in Fine Art in Ceramics from Arizona State University in 2013.

She has taught ceramics to various generations and populations at organizations, including the Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts, one of the top ceramics residency programs in the world. She has worked as a production thrower, studio and gallery assistant, and inspires others through informal critique and instruction.

Ashley continues to grow her business as a studio potter, while striving to further support the arts as an aspiring collector, advocate and educator. She credits SPC and her instructors for not only teaching her the fundamentals, but also their application, and testing her limits.

"SPC has great facilities and resources," Ashley said. "The college provided the concentrations and programs I was interested in with dedicated instructors - they are passionate and well educated in the subjects they teach. The discipline and encouragement from them helps me strive to pursue my passion even after moving on from SPC."
